Some references from recent talks:

METROPLOITAN LIFE – Cathy Arendse
On behalf of the staff at Metropolitan Employee Benefits, we would like to thank you for being such an awesome motivational speaker at our values presentation. The audience absolutely loved your go-getter attitude and you have inspired all of us in an awesome manner. You were thus far one of the best speakers with your pleasant personality. Your rewarding and uplifting talk will be remembered by all of us for the rest of our lives.

IGUBU Agency – Mercia Grimbeek
On the 5th August 2010, Nicky Abdinor was a speaker at the inaugural session of the iGubu African Leadership Seminar Series. The theme for the day was “women” and Nicky was one of the key speakers. In a very interactive and engaging manner Nicky shared her life story and her struggle to gain her independence. We learnt what inspires her as a woman and the many lessons and values she has to teach others. Nicky shared frankly the challenges she faces daily and yet managed to inspire each and every person present and spurred them on to achieve greater things in their own lives. I would like to take this opportunity to again thank Nicky for the wonderful time spent with her and for the professional and interesting manner in which she delivered her speech. It would definitely be a privilege for any organisation to have Nicky speak at an event.

CATHOLIC WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (CWD) – Katharine Knoetze
CWD implements numerous projects throughout the Western Cape that focus on developing self-reliance within vulnerable communities. During my time as Project Co-ordinator: Trauma and Healing, Nicky Abdinor was invited as a motivational speaker to address our staff during one of our quarterly organisational meetings. I have known Nicky since 1998 and had the privilege of witnessing her speaking at various occasions – she never fails to impress, to inspire, to touch and to motivate to action. Nicky is an eloquent and engaging speaker who manages to harness the attention of her audience and leave all who listen to her feeling personally touched. This has been my experience in the past and was the experience of my colleagues. Following her talk, I was approached several times for Nicky’s contact details and congratulated on our excellent choice of speaker. Without hesitation, I would recommend Nicky to address any audience – regardless of their age or professional background – she is an absolute gem!

ROTARY CLUB OF DURBANVILLE – Cathy Stagg (past president)
Nicky Abdinor gave a talk at my Rotary club recently and had the audience spellbound. Nicky is so relaxed and full of humour that everyone was able to ask her the questions that they otherwise might have thought were intrusive. She is an inspirational speaker. We wish her every success in raising the funds she needs to buy the car that will give her freedom she needs to continue to inspire people to see themselves and life in a positive way.

PROBUS CLUB, HOGSBACK – Robert Macpherson
Our Probus Club had the pleasure of having Nicky Abdinor address our dinner a few months ago. I use the word pleasure as this was indeed what was provided by her, with her confident and mature nature, and sincere inspirational way of expressing herself. I know that I express the view of all those fortunate enough to have been present at her talk, that all were lifted by the experience, and felt motivated by the realisation that with a positive attitude, one can overcome almost any obstacle.
